Jury Preview

Artists are invited to an informal jury preview on May 18, 2010 at 2:30 p.m. where they will be able to see our jury set-up and how their images display in our projected setting. We are not encouraging out of town artists to fly in for this event. Access to the American General Conference Room is limited due to security at the Museum of Fine Arts, Houston, therefore, it is extremely important that you do the following if you plan on attending the preview.

• RSVP required by Friday, May 14, 2010 at 5 p.m. Click here to register.
  
  
• Important additional details will be emailed to you on Monday, May 17, 2010 (including parking information, etc.).


• Meet at the Café Express on the lower level of the Audrey Jones Beck Building between 2:00 and 2:30 p.m. on May 18, 2010. An Art Colony Association representative will meet you and escort you through museum security. NO LATE ARRIVALS ALLOWED.


• The jury preview will begin based on set-up timeline.


• We will conduct one run through of all 1000+ entries by medium. After this run through is completed, artists may request to see their slides again as time allows.


• At the conclusion of the preview, all attending artists will be escorted as a group back to Café Express. For security reasons, attending artists must stay for the duration of the preview.
  

Please note that artists are not allowed to attend the actual jury on May 19, 2010, because access to the American General Conference Room is extremely restricted due to necessary museum security.
