When is the festival?
Saturday & Sunday, October 8 & 9, 2011 from 10 a.m. to 6 p.m.
 
Where is the festival?
Set against the backdrop of downtown Houston’s skyline -- in front of City Hall and around Hermann Square on the streets of Walker, Bagby and McKinney, as well as Sam Houston and Tranquility Parks.
 
Where do I park?
Parking is available on city streets and for the usual event fee in the City Hall Annex, Hobby Center or Theater District Parking under Tranquility Park. Click here for more detailed information about parking locations and their proximity to the festival.
 
Where do I buy tickets?
You can purchase tickets at the gate during the festival.  Advance tickets are available on our website at www.bayoucityartfestival.com/tickets

At Bayou City Art Festivals, we work diligently each year to make sure we offer something for everyone!  300 artists from around the nation will feature fine juried art from the following media formats:

Who is this year’s featured artist?
Kreg Yingst, a printmaker and painter whose work merges the science of perspective, with geometry and optical illusion.

What nonprofit organizations benefit from the proceeds of the festival?
Proceeds from the festival benefit local area nonprofit partners. Over the past 40 years, the Bayou City Art Festivals have raised more than $2.6 million for nonprofit organizations in the Greater Houston area.
 
The 2011 partners are: Art League Houston, Bering Omega Community Services, Buffalo Bayou Partnership, City ArtWorks, Downtown YMCA, FotoFest, Heritage Society, HCP (Houston Center for Photography), Houston Center for Contemporary Craft, Lawndale Art Center, MECA (Multicultural Education & Counseling through the Arts), MFAH (Museum of Fine Arts, Houston), MOCAH (Museum of Cultural Arts Houston), Oh! (Opera in the Heights), Orange Show Center for Visionary Art, Several Dancers Core, SNAP (Spay & Neuter Assistance Program), and SPARK.
